Dave Behar is a highly regarded brand and business development / marketing executive with more than 15 years experience in start-up companies that focus on Sports, Media, Events, Internet and leading edge technology, which includes success in Sales, Integrated Marketing, Strategic Planning, Creative Direction, Licensing, Operations and Board Relations. His internal and external teams execute marketing strategy and consistently meet or exceed quotas and goals while building process and infrastructure typically lacking in the start-up environment. He has coached, led and played many positions on teams in the sports and Internet world, while inspiring thousands via seminars, charity and board involvement.

Prior to founding Positive Ions, Behar was President/CEO of Avenue I, a leading edge business and brand development firm, developing business plans and shaping National and Global Marketing Corporate Partner programs, Advertising, Affiliate Strategies and other affinity based solutions. Dozens of companies have benefited by Dave's "stealth mode" and "out of the box" tactics, including Hotmail (helping create one of the Internet's first big successes, growing the free e-mail pioneer's customer base to 5 million users in one year. This helped sell the company to Microsoft for over $400 million). Also, Powerbar, Fox Sports, I BRANDS, PAC-10 (later helping develop PAC-10 Properties), Big West (Big West Properties), West Coast Conference, Las Vegas Bowl, 1996 Atlanta Centennial Olympics (Corporate Partners including adidas, Molten, Coca Cola) Speedo, Chrysler, Wendy's, JoeCartoon and Stories.com.

Behar also founded the wildly popular sportswear and lifestyle brand I DIG, which quickly became a leader in the Action Sports and volleyball marketplace, resulting in high level acquisition, and was global leader AT&T's first Telemarketing Director, leading a team of over 100 new employees. With I DIG, he also introduced Coors Light into televised Pro Beach Volleyball with the media driven Legends of Pro Beach Volleyball, while helping shape the Nestle Ice Café Pro Beach Volleyball Tour in Australia.

Prior to his BA in Advertising at San Diego State University, Dave pioneered successful college campus promotions with leading Global and National marketers.

ASSISTANT PRODUCER

Bruk Vandeweghe brings invaluable elite level sports participation and business experience to Positive Ions. In leading key category components of the company, he possesses widespread contacts within all levels of professional sports and a long history of achieving excellence.

Vandeweghe grew up in one of America's storied sports families, headed by Dr. Ernie Vandeweghe, a well-known sports doctor and orthopedic surgeon for the Lakers. Each of Bruk's siblings have become professional athletes, including brother Kiki, a former NBA and UCLA basketball star and currently General Manager of the Denver Nuggets.
In recent years, he has brought his athletic intensity to other forms of athletics, including training and coaching with Magic Johnson's All-Stars and training with New Jersey Nets and Dallas Mavericks. He has also individually trained numerous other professional athletes, including NBA players Michael Olowokandi and Shawn Marion, women's tennis star Alexandra Stevenson and former NBA star Bill Walton's three sons.

Vandeweghe received an undergraduate degree in Marketing from San Diego State University while on a golf sponsorship. He later became a Collegiate All American playing volleyball for SDSU, a Bronze Medal winner at the Goodwill Games and a professional volleyball on the AVP Tour. Career highlights included winning the Italian Open and San Antonio Open in 1993 and teaming with the legendary Sinjin Smith.

Growing up, Bruk learned a great deal about what it takes to become an elite level athlete and sports businessman at the family dinner table that often included such legendary sports figures as Jerry West, Wilt Chamberlain and Elgin Baylor. It is this knowledge and passion for success that he brings to Positive Ions, ionSports and ionKids.
